Privacy Policy

This explains what PorchPickup collects and how payment information is handled. This is a plain-language startup draft and should be reviewed by privacy counsel before full public launch.
What we collect
Customers may provide name, email, order details, and pickup information. Cooks provide account, menu, location, payment-display details, and membership billing information. We also collect basic technical data to secure and operate the site.
How we use it
We use information to operate accounts and orders, provide support, prevent abuse, improve the service, and meet legal obligations.
Who receives it
We share order details with the cook who needs them to fulfill pickup. We use providers including Cloudflare for hosting, Resend for order email, and Stripe for cook membership billing. We do not sell personal information.
Stripe
Card details for the cook membership are entered into Stripe checkout, not stored by PorchPickup. Food payments by cash or Venmo are arranged directly with the cook. Read Stripe’s Privacy Center.
Pickup privacy
We show broad location information such as ZIP code while browsing. Exact pickup details are intended to be shared only after a completed order.
Your requests
Email hello@porchpickup.app to request access, correction, or deletion. We may retain information for security, disputes, accounting, or legal obligations.
